Partner Model – Home Based
[caccordion]
Any person with a passion for education can offer the SmartQ programme as a Partner to children in the vicinity of a centre.
Subject to approval by SmartQ, a Home Partner can:
1. Set up ONE home centre
2. Become an instructor herself/himself.

As part of their initiation into the SmartQ Family, all new partners would receive:
1. Methodology Training: This training is meant for the Partner herself/himself, and is non-transferrable. It is a necessary induction to the programme, irrespective of whether the partner would conduct the courses himself.
2. Demo kit: The demo kit comprises a single student bag with books each of Level A, B, C, 1 and 2.
3. Welcome kit: This includes marketing collaterals, such as a standee, that are given gratis to enable a jumpstart for the partner. Currently, this includes 1,000 units of collaterals.

A home centre may be, the residence of a partner, where a SmartQ programme is offered to children, post approval from SmartQ. To ensure standardisation and decorum among SmartQ’s home centres, partners are required to:
1. Have adequate and comfortable room, and therefore a minimum space of 150 sq. ft. The seating must be comfortable and cannot comprise general drawing room furniture such as a sofa, stools and a few chairs. Partners must use mats and stools in the four SmartQ colours during sessions.
2. Have a facility to display SmartQ’s training charts or electronic charts on a LCD TV (of at least 42 inches). All training material is provided on a licence-to-use basis, and must be returned on exit/non-continuance/termination of the partner relationship.
3. Have adequate space to display 1 standee, in order to create an atmosphere of a professional class-room. The partner can print the flex standees as per the format provided in soft form.
4. Make provision for first-aid to be administered in case of emergencies.
5. Arrange for a convenient spot (not necessarily within the centre) for parents to wait until they can drop or pick-up children.
6. Create a conducive environment for the centre during classroom sessions by ensuring no disturbances and distractions like TV viewing, cooking, door bells and guests.

In order to instruct, our partners must be graduates who can communicate well in English, have a flair for training, and preferably have some experience in managing young children.
Before a partner begins teaching a particular Level course, (s)he must be trained in the content of that Level. Thus, home partners are required to successfully undergo methodology training. Only certified SmartQ partners can train in a SmartQ class.
